Best Buy Seeking Technology and Entertainment Enthusiasts for First Atlantic Canada Store

    Approximately 100 part and full-time positions available at new
    Dartmouth, Nova Scotia store

    DARTMOUTH, NS, Sept. 6 /CNW/ - Calling all techno-tainment enthusiasts!
Best Buy, Canada's fastest growing retailer and e-tailer ( of
consumer electronics and entertainment products, related accessories and
services, is looking for approximately 100 employees for their new Dartmouth
store. The Company is gearing up to open its first store in Atlantic Canada
and is looking to fill the store with staff who are passionate about the
newest technology and entertainment products and can help create a fun and
unique shopping environment for their customers. This new store will be the
49th in Canada and is scheduled to grand open at the end of November at the
new Dartmouth Crossing shopping centre at 119 Gale Terrace.

    Best Buy Store Experience

    Best Buy operates with a complete non-commissioned sales floor which
offers customers a unique, no-pressure and hassle free shopping experience.
The store will have wide aisles, an open floor plan and a variety of
interactive displays, with Blue Shirt staff there as "product specialists" to
allow customers to shop on their own or with their help. Best Buy stores
connect customers with thousands of top brand name product possibilities in
the categories of home theatre, computers, digital imaging, digital audio and
entertainment, all with a low price guarantee.

    Job fairs will be held starting next Monday, September 10 and will run
for 5 weeks ending on Saturday, October 13. Hours for the job fairs are Monday
to Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Applicants interested in employment at the new Dartmouth store need to attend
the Empire Theatres at Dartmouth Crossing on Wright Ave. during the above
dates and times.
    Prospective employees should apply online first by visiting to complete the first interview online, prior
to visiting the job fair. Candidates should have their social insurance number
on hand. The online application process takes approximately 20-30 minutes and
candidates are notified if they meet employment requirements right away.
    Retail positions available include cashier, customer service,
non-commissioned sales, music/software specialists, merchandisers/inventory
specialists, computer technicians, product security specialists and department
supervisor positions.
