In-studio concert, candid interviews and behind-the-scenes action at
TORONTO, Aug. 15 /CNW/ - Starting today, Canadians can visit AOL Music
Canada (http://www.aol.ca/music), a leading online music destination, to
experience an exclusive AOL Music Sessions performance by Canadian indie stars
and Juno-award winners Bedouin Soundclash.
By logging on to AOL Sessions now, fans can see Bedouin Soundclash
performing original versions of songs from their new album Street Gospels -
almost a full week before the album officially launches on August 21. The
online concert line-up includes original versions of "Walls Fall Down," the
first single from Gospels, the inspired "Trinco Dog," and the melodic "1259
Lullaby," which appeared on the hit series Grey's Anatomy.
Bedouin Soundclash joins more than 85 other Canadian and international
artists from a variety of musical genres including hip hop, rock, pop and new
country who can currently be found online as part of AOL Sessions, a series of
live, in-studio concerts and candid interviews designed to give music fans an
up-close and intimate experience with their favourite musicians.
During the Toronto filming of AOL Sessions, the members of Bedouin
Soundclash sat down for a candid Q&A about the performance, their new album,
and the importance of finding new ways to connect with fans. The entire
interview is available at aol.ca/sessions.
"Musicians like Bedouin Soundclash recognize the unlimited potential of
the internet to connect with new and existing fans," says Joshua Ostroff,
Music Editor, AOL Canada. "Sessions recordings break down barriers between
artists and fans, going well beyond the cell phone-quality concert recordings
found on other sites to create an intimate, exclusive venue type experience."
Bedouin Soundclash fans can also get a glimpse into the making of the
video for Walls Fall Down, and access a live audio stream of the band's new
album Street Gospels by visiting aol.ca/music.
