Barclays Canada announces filing of iShares tax information for 2007

    TORONTO, Feb. 22 /CNW/ - Barclays Global Investors Canada Limited
(Barclays Canada) announced in a news release dated February 21, 2008 that the
tax characteristics for all 2007 distributions for iShares Funds have been
finalized and provided to CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc. (CDS) for
use by brokers in preparing tax reports, including T3 slips, for their
clients. The tax information filed with CDS is correct and final and has not
changed. However, certain information in the press release dated February 21,
2008 was inaccurate. This information has been corrected in the summary below,
and noted with an asterisk(*).
