BACARDI B-LIVE pours on the good times with Moby and Deadmau5 as headliners

    Bacardi announces talent line-up for unprecedented weekend of musical
    collaborations at Virgin Festival Toronto

    TORONTO, July 2 /CNW/ - Building on the success of the BACARDI(R)
B-LIVE(TM) event at last year's Virgin Festival in Toronto, Bacardi announced
that it's coming back to the Festival to wow concert-goers with headline DJ
performances from international superstar, Moby, and Canada's hometown hero,
Deadmau5. The two will perform on the BACARDI B-LIVE stage on Sunday,
September 7, 2008. European sensations, Switch and SebastiAn, who have both
been electrifying dance floors around the world, will kick-off BACARDI B-LIVE
on Saturday, September 6.
    Today's announcement adds to the already announced stellar international
line-up for Virgin Festival Toronto, set to rock Toronto Island Park on
September 6 and 7, 2008. Featuring Oasis, Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Bloc
Party and many others, Virgin Festival is the music event of the summer.

    Stellar Headlining Talent

    A 25-country global program of music events, BACARDI B-LIVE features both
legendary international and local emerging artists, providing them with the
opportunity to join forces and deliver unforgettable performances. Showcasing
the latest DJ trends in electro, dance and mash-up, BACARDI B-LIVE will
feature six headliners including:

    - DJ extraordinaire, New York City-based, Moby, who has been performing
        for over 20 years and his 1999 blockbuster hit, "Play," has sold over
        9 million copies worldwide. His latest release from March 2008,
        entitled "Last Night," has thrilled audiences and critics alike;

    - Deadmau5, the Juno-winning, creative ingénue who, in the past year,
        has risen the ranks to be among the Top 15 DJs in the world as voted
        by The DJ List. He is best known for running the gamut of beats
        unlike any other and his unique visual style can't be missed;

    - Switch (aka Solid Groove), the UK-based sensation who helped produce
        M.I.A.'s smash-hit CD in 2007. Dubbed as the one to watch in 2006,
        Switch has created his own type of innovative jacking house that
        draws from all the best bits of electronic music;

    - Parisian electro DJ, SebastiAn, who amazes dance crowds with his
        cut-up techniques, funk detonations and break beats. His self-titled
        demo tape has been played on dance floors around the world;

    - Lee Burridge, a UK-based DJ who's listed among the Top 10 of DJ
        Magazine's 2002 Top 100 Poll. With his versatile and unique sound,
        Lee reads a crowd like no other and plays some of the most
        mind-boggling, genre-bending and jaw-dropping records audiences are
        ever likely to hear; and

    - Chicago-based duo, Flosstradamus, who have blown away audiences at
        Coachella and at South by South West. The two have been dominating
        the dance scene nationwide with their tag-team DJ sets for just over
        a year and they show no signs of slowing down.

    "Each BACARDI B-LIVE event is tailored to a local audience, but around
the world, the result is the same - an unforgettable music performance," said
Steven Sadoff, Brand Manager at Bacardi Canada. "We put everything we've got
into BACARDI B-LIVE and with unbelievable talent like Moby, SebastiAn and
Deadmau5 performing at the Toronto event, we're sure that this year's
festival-goers will be blown away."
