Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's Awesome Invitational Golf
Tournament has become a 'must-attend' yearly event!
TORONTO, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - The Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's
annual Awesome Invitational Golf Tournament, held yesterday at the prestigious
Copper Creek Golf Club in Kleinburg, raised an incredible $112,000.
"The Awesome Golf tournament continues to receive unbelievable support
from so many of our HRRH friends and supporters," said Foundation President
Debra Bond-Gorr. "It's amazing to see the level of enthusiasm and commitment
that this long standing tradition generates across our entire community."
This year's Awesome Tournament was emceed by CityTV Sportscaster Jim
McKenny and featured a hole in one contest and live and silent auctions with
flat screen televisions and many more exciting prizes. The funds from this
year's tournament will support the Foundation's three-year, $10 million
campaign to purchase an Image Management System (IMS) for Humber River
Regional Hospital - a vital component of the hospital's Electronic Patient
"We are grateful for the overwhelming generosity of our community
partners and corporate sponsors," said Bond-Gorr. "It's remarkable to see so
many busy and high profile individuals and groups taking time to support our
hospital. We appreciate that support immensely," she said. "It helps us to be
an even better hospital for our patients and their families."
