Avaya Uses 4th Annual Communications Developer Conference(TM) to Explore the Road to Communications Enabled Business Processes

Avaya is Diamond Sponsor and Exhibitor at Premier Event for IP
Communications Developers, Slated for Santa Clara, Calif., in May

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., April 27 /CNW/ -- Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading
global provider of business communications applications, systems and services,
today announced that it will use TMC's 4th annual Communications Developer
Conference to explore the role developers play in helping companies transform
their operations with communications-enabled business processes.
Avaya is a Diamond sponsor and exhibitor at the event, which is scheduled
for May 15-17, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif. Lawrence

In addition, on May 14, 2007 Avaya will host a special Avaya Developer
Day Innovation Forum, also at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara. The Forum is

telephony integration and proprietary software interfaces, Avaya has chosen to
speed development by exposing communications applications as reusable Web
Services. Standards-based Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technology is
used for seamless control of a wide range of communications devices and
resources -- providing a solid foundation for application development."
The Communications Developer Conference (http://www.commdeveloper.com) is
a premier event for developers of IP Communications technologies with more
than 1,000 attendees expected. Avaya will use Booth #118 at the event to
highlight the company's DeveloperConnection program -- an initiative to
develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate
with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its

companies who share Avaya's commitment to standards-based, interoperable
