Alternative trade helps artisans, farmers and their families to make a
better living by ensuring that they are paid a decent price for their
products. This in turn means they are able to purchase more nutritious food,
pay for their children's education fees, and more.

The Four Corners alternative trade program grows out of Canadian Lutheran
World Relief's vision for a world where people live in justice, peace and
dignity, united in diversity, and empowered to achieve their universal rights
to basic needs and quality of life. By working with artisan communities in
Africa, Asia and Latin America to create a stunning array of products that
will appeal to the Canadian consumer, Four Corners helps to create
opportunities for artisans in the developing world.
