ASC Sanctions DeVries, Grafke, Bromley and Campbell Based on B.C. Order

CALGARY, July 10 /CNW/ - The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has
issued market bans against John DeVries, Ernest Reed Grafke, Ralph Bromley and
Wesley Campbell. The reciprocal orders, based on a British Columbia Securities
Commission (BCSC) decision, prohibit DeVries, Grafke, Bromley and Campbell
from acting as a director or officer of any issuer (with exceptions for
Bromley and Campbell) and from trading in or purchasing securities or relying
on exemptions under Alberta securities laws for periods ranging from 5 months
to over 15 years.
The BCSC decision, dated January 29, 2007, imposed similar sanctions on
DeVries, Grafke, Bromley and Campbell. According to the BCSC order, these
individuals caused losses of approximately $1.3 million to British Columbia
residents who invested in Amber Enterprises Ltd. securities. Evidence
presented to the ASC panel indicated that DeVries, Grafke, Bromley and
Campbell also raised approximately $600,000 from 12 Alberta investors without
being registered with the ASC or having filed a prospectus as required under
Alberta securities laws.
A copy of this decision can be found on the ASC website at

The ASC is the regulatory agency responsible for administering the
