Armistice Resources Corp. reports first in-fill drilling results

Issued and Outstanding common shares: 60,130,435

TORONTO, Jan. 8 /CNW/ - Armistice Resources Corp. (TSX: AZ) ("Armistice"
or the "Corporation") is pleased to report new results from the in-fill
definition drilling programme recently completed on the 2250 Level at the
McGarry Gold Project at Virginiatown, Ontario.
Previous definition drilling programmes on this level left a gap between
the 600W and 1100W sections. A total of 31new in-fill definition holes were
drilled during 2007 and 2008. Results have been received for the 13 new holes
drilled on the three sections: 600W, 700W and 800W. New intersections include
the following highlights:

    - DDH 22W70-3 0.45 oz/t gold over 3.0 ft core length
    - DDH 22W80-3 0.38 oz/t gold over 2.8 ft core length
    - DDH 22W60-4 0.29 oz/t gold over 4.6 ft core length
    - DDH 22W70-3 0.28 oz/t gold over 3.8 ft core length

The 2250 Level is the most developed in the mine and is also the level on
which the recently completed bulk sampling programme was carried out.
As noted in the press release of August 21, 2008 which discusses results
of the bulk sampling programme, the main significance of a diamond drill hole
intersection is the identification of gold-bearing zones. The mined grade of a
zone may vary from the grade of wide spaced drill holes as reported here. This
is due to the very small sample represented by individual drill holes within a
gold bearing zone that is characterised by large internal variation in gold
distribution. This is a typical observation from many narrow-vein gold mines
including the Kerr Addison.
In total there are 24 holes (both new and old) on these three sections.
In these 24 holes there are 38 intercepts of at least 0.10 oz/t gold including
the following highlights from previous drilling:

    - DDH 22W70-1 4.26 oz/t gold over 8.5 ft core length
    - DDH 22W60-2 0.34 oz/t gold over 7.4 ft core length

None of the results from the holes on these sections were included in the
resource estimate included in the NI 43-101 report filed on Sedar on 17 June
When all the assay results are available, including those from the deep
drilling programme, they will be included in the revised NI 43-101 compliant
resource estimate. Clearing the backlog of logging and sampling of the deep
drilling and exploration up-holes is currently in progress.
The main 2250 level east-west drift is located in the footwall about 100
feet south of the target alteration package which hosts numerous gold zones in
a geological environment very similar to the adjacent former Kerr Addison Mine
which produced over 11 million ounces of gold.
Drill stations at 100 foot intervals are established along the 2250
drift. From each of these stations a fan of holes testing the gold bearing
alteration zone to the north has been drilled. Typically the holes have dips
from +52 degrees (up-holes) to -52 degrees (down-holes) and lengths of about
700 feet, although the actual hole parameters vary depending on local
circumstances and geology encountered in the hole. The intersections given in
the table are core lengths and not true widths. True widths are most
accurately represented by the core lengths in the flatter holes and may be
about 60% of the core lengths for the steeper holes.
The drill programme employs a QA/QC procedure consistent with NI 43-101
and industry best practices. The drill core is sawn and half-core samples are
sent to either Swastika Laboratories Ltd. in Swastika, Ontario or PolyMet Labs
in Cobalt, Ontario for standard fire assaying. Armistice submits duplicate
quarter cuts for about 5% of the samples to the other lab and includes about
5% blanks in the samples sent to the labs. In addition the labs themselves
include standards, duplicates and blanks as part of their regular QA/QC
The work reported on in this information release is supervised by Erik
Andersen, P.Eng., Vice President and COO of Armistice and Qualified Person.
Mr. Andersen has reviewed and approved this release.

Armistice is a Canadian exploration company that owns the McGarry project
in North-eastern Ontario located on the prolific Larder Lake break. The
McGarry project is an advanced exploration underground gold project consisting
of 34 contiguous patented mining claims and licences of occupation totaling
484 hectares which adjoins the former producing Kerr Addison gold mine.
