NORTH BAY, ON, Aug. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Aramark food service staff at
Canadore College/Nipissing University, Commerce Court and secondary schools
throughout the Near North District School Board voted today in favour of a new
collective agreement, averting a strike or lockout.
"We made progress and went a long way to achieving our bargaining
objectives on behalf of our members, and we're happy this was resolved without
a labour dispute," said Monique Drapeau, CUPE national representative."
The workers' last contract expired December 31, 2006.
