Another Conservative candidate rejects John Tory's weak judgment

Crugnale breaks ranks on private religious schools scheme

TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Conservative candidate Tara Crugnale (Hamilton
East - Stoney Creek) has broken ranks and become the latest Conservative
candidate to reject John Tory's weak judgment and his scheme to rip
$500 million out of publicly funded schools for private religious schools.
In a front page Hamilton Spectator story today, titled "Candidate splits
with PC leader on funding", Crugnale says: "I can't defend the policy as it
stands now. This issue has been really divisive."
Crugnale joins more than a dozen Conservative candidates in questioning
John Tory's weak judgment, including Bill Murdoch (Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound) who
has pledged to vote against the private religious school scheme, and Garfield
Dunlop (Simcoe North) who has asked for a referendum to be held on the issue.
