(NYSE: AEO) today announced the nomination of Cary McMillan to the company's
board of directors. The election of Mr. McMillan, and three incumbent board
members, will take place at the company's stockholders meeting on June 12,
2007. Upon election, Mr. McMillan will take the seat of retiring board member,
Larry M. Wolf, who has served as a director since May 2003.
Since 2005, Mr. McMillan has been Chief Executive Officer of True
Partners Consulting, LLC, a professional services firm providing tax and other
financial services. Prior to this, from 1999 to 2004, he was Executive Vice
President of Sara Lee Corporation, a member of the company's board of
directors, and served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, and then
Chief Executive Officer of Sara Lee Branded Apparel. Mr. McMillan currently
serves on the board of directors of McDonald's Corporation and Hewitt
Jim O'Donnell, Chief Executive Officer of American Eagle Outfitters,
