American Eagle Outfitters and Warner Bros. Pictures Team up for ''Fred Claus'' Red Carpet Event and Screening

    PITTSBURGH, November 5 /CNW/ - American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE:  AEO)
today announced its holiday campaign with Warner Bros. Pictures in support of
the new holiday comedy "Fred Claus," starring Vince Vaughn ("The Break-Up,"
"Wedding Crashers") and Paul Giamatti ("Cinderella Man," "Sideways") and
directed by David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers," "Shanghai Knights").

    Tonight, American Eagle Outfitters and Warner Bros. Pictures will co-host
a red carpet screening event and after party, in Vince Vaughn's hometown of
Chicago, to celebrate the upcoming nationwide release of "Fred Claus" on
November 9. Vaughn will be present to kick off the screening at the AMC East
River theater.

    "Our customers tell us that going to the movies is their favorite
pastime--even ahead of dating and shopping," says Kathy Savitt, executive vice
president and chief marketing officer of American Eagle Outfitters. "Fred
Claus is exactly the right movie for our customers this time of year--festive,

at participating American Eagle Chicago stores. Net proceeds from the sale of
the T-shirt will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chicago.

    Fred Claus (Vince Vaughn) has lived his entire life in his brother's very
large shadow. Fred tried, but could hardly live up to the example set by the
younger Nicholas (Paul Giamatti), who was just a perfect...well...saint. True
to form, Nicholas grew up to be the model of giving, while Fred became the
polar opposite: a fast-talking repo man who's run out of luck and money. Over
Mrs. Claus' objections, Nicholas agrees to help his brother on one condition:
that he come to the North Pole and earn the money he needs by working in
Santa's workshop. The trouble is that Fred isn't exactly elf material and,
with Christmas fast approaching, Fred could jeopardize the jolliest holiday of
