ALTIF 2007

    EDMONTON, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - The Alberta Life Technologies Investor Forum
(ALTIF) 2007 will take place at The Westin Edmonton on September 19, 2007 in
Edmonton, Alberta. The forum is a one-day event showcasing companies in the
life technologies sector from start-ups to mature companies seeking to raise
investment capital.
    ALTIF 2007 will feature presentations from emerging North American life
technology companies that are seeking to raise growth capital. The companies

    Also the forum will provide a unique opportunity to meet with leading

investors from across Canada and the United States. It will also provide the
opportunity to learn more about exciting new developments in the life sciences
    The program includes breakfast with Dr. Doros Platika, former President
of Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, and lunch featuring keynote speaker
Dr. Leroy Hood of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle.
    In 2006, ALTIF was the most successful Life Technologies investor meeting
of the year in Alberta, with over 100 registrants, including media. ALTIF 2006
