HyperCrash/CATIA offers first effective crash workbench dedicated to
automotive crash engineers
TROY, Mich., Aug. 20 /CNW/ -- Altair Engineering, Inc., a leading global

decision-making, today announced the launch of HyperCrash/CATIA, the first
crash environment integrated into CATIA V5. The new technology enables
modeling of crash data and the capability to include nonlinear material
properties in a dynamic database. HyperCrash/CATIA is part of the HyperWorks
suite of advanced CAE solutions and provides a seamless interface for CATIA
users. However, separate usage licensing is required.
Previously, engineers were required to leave CATIA to perform time-
intensive critical crash analysis. Now, they can perform the complete task
inside the CATIA environment and move directly into the RADIOSS solver. This
makes HyperCrash/CATIA the first effective crash workbench specifically
dedicated to automotive crash engineers.

for spot welds that allows up to five sheets to be connected, compared to two
