Strengthening relationships with consumers, one customer at a time
HALIFAX, Jan. 13 /CNW/ - Today, Chris Kiah, President & CEO, and Tim
Currie, Assistant Vice President, Allstate Canada, were on hand for the
official grand opening of the new Allstate Insurance Agency in Halifax.
In 2007, Allstate announced that it was going to enhance its agent
distribution model in order to better respond to customer expectations and to
the demands of an evolving marketplace and introduced the new Allstate
"For over 50 years, Allstate has built a reputation on having a personal
relationship with its customers," said Dostie. With the evolution to our new
Allstate Insurance Agency model, we will strengthen that reputation and be
more responsive to what consumers want when they want it."
The new Allstate Insurance Agency creates a consistent delivery model by
providing consumers with access to a team of experienced and knowledgeable
Allstate agents who will each be accountable for managing specific aspects of
a customer's needs. In each Agency there will be:
- An Allstate Agent who will create and develop the relationship at new
- An Allstate Agent who will expand the relationship by identifying
additional features to meet changing and evolving insurance needs;
- An Allstate Agent who will strengthen the relationship at renewal
time and provide customer service and support.
John Newcombe, Agency Manager of the Halifax location, added "Our agency
marks a new beginning for Allstate in Halifax. For over 50 years, we have been
serving consumers and now our new agency positions us to improve upon that
level of service. Since opening our doors for business, the customer feedback
has been extremely positive. They are very pleased with the new look and
convenient central location. After 22 enjoyable and rewarding years with
Allstate, I strongly feel that this evolution will allow us to reinforce the
slogan that you are in fact "In Good Hands with Allstate".
By the end of 2008, there were 80 new Allstate Insurance Agencies open
for business in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. Upon
completion there will be 93 new Agencies in Canada, including 6 in the
"Consumers in Ontario and across Canada are going to notice a difference
with how we do business in the new Allstate Insurance Agency. Consumers told
us what they are looking for and what they want from an insurance company and
we listened," Dostie added.
