Alberta Children's Services Selects Curam Software for Enterprise-Wide Modernization Project

    HERNDON, VA., August 6 /CNW/ - Curam Software, the leading provider of

Alberta Children's Services Ministry (ACS) selected the Curam Business
Application Suite(TM) for its Integrated Child Services Environment (ICSE).
Covering all 22 family and child programs across the ministry, ICSE will
enable ACS to deliver its entire portfolio of services on a common enterprise
case management platform based on the Curam Software solution. The solution
will help ACS reach its goals of promoting the development and well-being of
children, youth, and families. In addition, it will empower ACS to support
communities, enabling them to provide nurturing, safe environments for
children.

    Supporting Alberta's "One Government" vision of operating as one, single
entity for Albertans, ICSE positions ACS to deliver all services - from child
protective services and family enhancement to child care and support for
children with disabilities - through one common system. ICSE will empower ACS
to rapidly and more effectively respond to the changing needs of Alberta
families. The initial phase of ICSE, the Intervention Services Information
System (ISIS), will leverage the Curam Software solution to deliver
child-centered, family-focused services to Albertans. The solution delivers
comprehensive assessment strategies, assessment-driven service planning,
effective decision support, and team-based decision making. In addition, it
empowers ACS to integrate family services with community services and to adopt
proactive client outcome management and an early intervention and prevention
approach to improve outcomes-based performance objectives.

platform, the next-generation solution provides ACS with ongoing investment
protection to reduce project time, risk, and cost. ACS will partner with IBM
Canada and Quartech Systems to implement its ICSE using Curam's family
