AirTest Receives 1000 Unit Order For New Energy Saving Compressor Management Technology

DELTA, BC, June 18 /CNW/ - AirTest Technologies (TSXV: AAT) has received
an initial order for 1,000 units from Energy Innovation Group LLC (EIG) for
the Smartcool(TM) ECO(3)(TM), a new technology that better manages the
operation and energy use of existing refrigeration and cooling systems. As a
long-time distributor of AirTest products, EIG has had great success in
selling AirTest products through customized building energy efficiency upgrade
programs developed in partnership with utilities, local governments, school
districts and large property owners in Southern California.
The ECO(3)(TM) manufactured by Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSX:SSC), is a
unique, add-on compressor management technology that adds smart, adaptive,
intelligent control to compressors for refrigeration and air conditioning
applications. This control system results in significant energy savings.
Cooling units using these types of compressors can be found in millions of
buildings worldwide including telecom providers, restaurants, retail stores,
schools as well as most commercial and industrial spaces. Energy savings
typically range from 15 to 30%. A key feature of the ECO(3)(TM) is that it
tracks and displays actual energy savings. "Until now there has not been a
viable way to improve the performance of smaller compressor based air
conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The ECO(3)(TM) opens up a vast new
market for energy upgrades that offers us an awesome potential for ongoing
sales," said Sid Pelston, President of EIG.
"The ECO(3)(TM) adds to a broad portfolio of products that AirTest has
assembled to specifically help building owners and operators reduce cost, save
energy and improve the sustainability of their buildings," said George Graham,
President of AirTest. He added that "EIG has shown us a prime example of how
the initial introduction of one AirTest technology, can open the door for many
other products to be applied in the same building." EIG has also had great
success in offering AirTest's CO(2) demand controlled ventilation and garage
ventilation products through its unique marketing programs undertaken in
partnership with major utilities.

About AirTest: AirTest Technologies ( is a
Green-Tech company specializing in sensors that improve commercial building
operating efficiency and at the same time create energy savings. These sensors
are all based on technical innovations developed in the last ten years, and
comprise a growing second wave of energy saving technologies that will make a
significant contribution to the Sustainable Buildings Program. AirTest offers
its products to leading-edge building owners, contractors and energy service
companies targeting the buildings market. AirTest also provides energy cost
reduction solutions to building equipment and controls manufacturers who
incorporate AirTest sensor components in their products.

About Energy Innovation Group: Energy Innovation Group, LLC (EIG) is the
only Energy Program Integrator in the U.S., bringing the latest advances in
traditional and emerging technologies, special utility incentives, a 'big
picture' strategy, and a highly efficient one-stop service to help companies,
cities and schools reduce cost and qualify for major incentives, far beyond
standard conservation measures.
EIG typically can guide the most energy efficient companies to achieve a
further 8% to 12% reduction in energy cost, beyond everything they have
already implemented. For companies with less advanced conservation efforts in
place, EIG often can identify and implement reductions of 30% to 50% of their
entire energy bill. (

About Smartcool Systems Inc.: Smartcool Systems Inc. (SSC: TSX.V)
manufactures and distributes the Smartcool Energy Saving Module (ESM)(TM) and
the ECO(3)(TM), which make refrigeration and air conditioning systems more
efficient, resulting in proven cost savings, reduced energy consumption, and a
smaller carbon footprint. The Smartcool ESM(TM) can be retrofitted to existing
refrigeration and air conditioning systems and is compatible with all known
control systems. More than 26,000 units have been installed worldwide for
customers such as supermarkets, food distributors, telecommunications
companies, hospitals, and hotels. Smartcool's new ECO(3)(TM) provides the same
environmental and cost-saving benefits to residential and commercial customers
using one and two compressor cooling systems. (
