Agreement between CIT Roussillon and TRANSDEV Limocar - A 10-year contract worth $2.7 million to provide passenger transportation in the Roussillon CIT region

    MONTREAL, Nov. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - CIT Roussillon and TRANSDEV Limocar have
just concluded an agreement for a 10-year service contract worth $2.7 million,
equivalent to market value, to provide service from the towns of Delson,
Sainte-Catherine, and Saint-Constant to Montréal and Longueuil. "This new
contract with TRANSDEV Limocar will be for a 10-year period. It will take
effect on July 16, 2008 and conclude on July 15, 2018. The renewal of the bus
fleet on regular routes, with the addition of air conditioning, and the new
organization that will be set up, will help improve the quality of the service
we provide to our clientele," noted Gilles Meloche, President of CIT
    "We are pleased with the conclusion of the agreement and signing of the
contract. The people of Roussillon can be assured of high-quality service

    About CIT Rousillon

    The Conseil intermunicipal de Transport Roussillon (CIT Roussillon)
provides low-cost transportation services for residents of the city of Delson,
Sainte-Catherine, and Saint-Constant to the Island of Montréal and Longueuil.
Founded in 1984, CIT Roussillon currently relies on a fleet of 16 vehicles
from its carrier to provide 445,000 passenger trips per year.

    About Limocar

    Limocar operates 320 vehicles with the capacity to transport four million
passengers a year, and has 435 employees. It provides public transport service
to over 40 municipalities through contracts with the CIT de la Vallee du
Richelieu and CIT Laurentides. It operates the Montreal-Sherbrooke intercity
route providing daily bus service to about 15 municipalities in the Eastern
Townships region. Limocar has been engaged in the transportation of school
children for close to 25 years. It operates about 130 routes, throughout
Quebec, and it is one of the leading school bus transporters in southwestern
