African Aura Resources Ltd. - Late Filing of Audited Annual Financial Statements

    TORONTO, Oct. 28 /CNW/ - African Aura Resources Ltd. ("African Aura" or
the "Company", TSX-V: AAZ), a gold exploration company with activities focused
in sub-Saharan Africa hereby advises that it will not be able to file its
annual audited financial statements and related documents within 120 days of
its financial year ended June 30, 2008 as required by National Instrument
    The Company's auditor, Deloitte & Touche LLP, estimates that it should be
able to release its auditors report pertaining to AAZ' annual 2008 audited
financial statements and accompanying MD&A by Friday October 31, 2008. The
Company operates in Liberia and Cameroun and Deloitte & Touche LLP's internal
procedures require additional confirmations and approvals of its affiliates in
these countries.
    The Company intends to satisfy the provisions of the alternative
information guidelines provided for in sections 4.3 and 4.4 of the National
Policy 12-203 regarding Cease Trade Orders For Continuous Disclosure Defaults
so long as it remains in default regarding the filing of its annual audited
financial statements for the financial year ended June 30, 2008.
