ABB wins order for carbon plant rectifier system equipment

    High power rectifier system used to boost productivity and reduce energy

    MONTREAL, June 13 /CNW Telbec/ - ABB (NYSE/Stockholm: ABB, Zurich:
ABBzn.VX) -- ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, announced
that it received a contract to supply high power rectifier system equipment
and services for SGL Group's plant located in Lachute, Québec.

performance, using our state-of-the-art technology," said Sandy Taylor,

resources to provide end-to-end support.

timeframe." The unit will be delivered in Q1 2008.
    SGL Group's plant will operate two high power rectifier systems supplied
by ABB to produce graphite electrodes for the steel market.
