MONTREAL, Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jean Coutu Group supports the Mira Foundation by opening the doors of all its stores across Québec. Go to your nearest Jean Coutu and make a donation to Mira. On a counter display near the cash, you will find a donation coupon enhanced with a bar code designating three (3) denominations: $1, $3, and $5. Detach the coupon of your choice, present it to the cashier, it will be "read" by the electronic scanner and added directly to your bill. A simple, quick and efficient way to help Mira !
Mira needs you to pursue its mission. Its financing depends entirely on donations from the public. Taking place from September 7th to October 17th 2008, this campaign aims to generate donations that are so crucial to its survival and to increase awareness of its mission.
Since 1981, The MIRA Foundation has passionately pursued its mission to improve the autonomy of handicapped people and their social integration by providing them with dogs trained to respond to their unique adaptation and readaptation needs - all free of charge. Each year, MIRA gives more than 180 guide or assistance dogs to those who need them. Each guide dog requires two (2) years of training and an investment of $20,000 dollars.
