MONTREAL, June 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Ingegneria Dei Sistemi (IDS), an Italian
engineering firm specializing in system technology and providing research and
innovation in the electromagnetic fields, is launching its operations in
Montréal in order to penetrate the North American market. Benefiting from the
assistance of Montréal International to establish its presence in the
metropolitan area, the new entity, IDS North America, plans to hire more than
50 employees over the next three years. IDS' investment is assessed at more
than $18.5 million.
With a presence in approximately twenty countries, IDS possesses unique

rapidly acquire a significant share of the North American market in providing
innovative technology solutions for the selected niche of Defense and civil

more so since its arrival will strengthen our aerospace business cluster by
contributing to our dynamic economy and creating new wealth that will benefit
all Montréal residents."
"Québec sets a standard in the areas of research and innovation. Greater
Montréal is the site of iconic successes achieved by creative, innovative
industries, and has proven a suitable testing ground and launch market for
inventive business models. IDS' decision to set up operations here is
therefore a sound one. We are very pleased to welcome this company," added
