A cup of coffee can mean the world to someone

Delta Hotels heads into national campaign in support of Special Olympics

TORONTO, June 8 /CNW/ - For the month of June, Delta Hotels' 40 locations
across Canada will participate in a fundraising campaign for Special Olympics
Canada (SOC). For every coffee sold in its restaurants, a donation will be
made to the sports movement to support its programs, as well as help send Team
Canada athletes to Shanghai, China, to compete in the 2007 Special Olympics
World Summer Games.
"Through the generous support of guests and employees, Delta Hotels has
helped Special Olympics athletes experience the joy of travel, a cornerstone
of our business," says Hank Stackhouse, company president. "Whether they've
travelled across our country or around the world to represent Canada, they've
gained experiences that will last a lifetime."
Special Olympics Canada has been Delta's national charity partner since
1999. With more than 31,000 athletes, family, friends and volunteers within
the Special Olympics community, this registered charitable organization and
not-for-profit grassroots organization is dedicated to enriching the lives of
Canadians with an intellectual disability through sport.

    About "Delta Cares"

Delta's community relations program sees more than 7,000 hotel colleagues

as national partners like Special Olympics Canada. Other initiatives include
Adopt-a-Shelter, launched in 2001, and A Home for the Holidays, launched in
1990. Through Adopt-a-Shelter, Delta Hotels recycles lightly used furniture

transition to second-stage housing, while A Home for the Holidays offers
