Crêperie bretonne Ty-Breiz : a lasting treasure
MONTREAL, June 2 /CNW Telbec/ - In 2009, Crêperie bretonne Ty-Breiz is
celebrating its golden anniversary and 50 years of continuous operation. The
Montreal institution has passed the test of time and intends to move beyond
this landmark anniversary to continue to introduce Montrealers to the flavours
of Brittany in a warm and welcoming setting.
The restaurant opened in 1959 with only four tables and a commitment to
serving authentic, traditional Breton cuisine. Over five decades, Crêperie
bretonne Ty-Breiz has built its reputation by focusing on the restaurant's
signature dishes (the famous Ty-Breiz salad, their onion soup, crêpes and
seafood) that have become icons and define the values of the restaurant.
Today, the restaurant includes 40 tables. "When clients first come into our
restaurant, we want to provide them with a total experience. On every
subsequent visit we want them to continue that experience and discover a rich
and consistent cuisine," says Philippe Mangiante, Manager of Crêperie bretonne
Ty-Breiz. "The comfort that comes from feeling at home in the restaurant,
quality cuisine and employees who enjoy their work are the secrets to our
success," he confides.
A visit to Crêperie bretonne Ty-Breiz is like being transported back in
time and into the heart of Brittany, into a warm and embracing atmosphere.
"Coming through the door, clients are immediately charmed by this step
through, their culinary exploration of our rich Breton roots and the dishes
that are never far from our hearts," says Philippe Mangiante. A sure sign of
success, the Crêperie counts on a host of loyal customers who have been coming
back for the crêpes for more than 50 years.
