MONTREAL, Jan. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The Montréal International Auto Show
(MIAS) Charity Preview evening, which took place January 15, 2009, helped
raise $343,305 to benefit five (5) worthy causes within the Greater Montreal's
medical community: the Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, the
Pierre-Boucher Hospital Foundation, the Foundation du Centre hospitalier de
l'Université de Montréal, the McGill University Health Centre Foundation and
the Santa Cabrini Foundation. This fund raising event was presented and
sponsored by the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation Foundation and the
Palais des congrès de Montréal.
More than $1,443,305 donated since 2005
Ever since it premiered back in 2005, the event has raised over
$1,443,305 for various foundations of the Greater Montreal's health care
community. Now, for a 5th consecutive year, the auto industry is proud to
offer their support to five (5) foundations, each working towards improving
the state of health care in the Greater Montreal's medical community.
An enchanting evening!
In keeping with its previous editions, the 2009 Charity Preview, whose
spokesperson this year was actor Raymond Bouchard for a 2nd consecutive year,
was once again a tremendous success! Attendees to the evening were able to
feast their eyes on some of the crown jewels of the automotive industry before
the Auto Show opened to the public, and got to mingle with some of the auto
industry's biggest names along with well-known personalities from Quebec's
artistic community. The event was enjoyed by all, taking place in a relaxed
atmosphere and featuring impressive door prizes, entertaining jazz music, as
well as a deliciously refined buffet dinner, complete with a selection of fine

is thrilled to continue this wonderful tradition. "Over the past five (5)
years, the money raised has greatly helped support Montreal's medical
community," expressed Mr. St-Louis during the Charity Preview. "Once again
