Media Advisory - School Leaders to Focus on Sustainable Leadership

TORONTO, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Over 400 principals and vice-principals from across Ontario will gather in Toronto this week for Odyssey 2009, a conference hosted by the Ontario Principals' Council.

Sustainable Leadership - What Matters Most will be the largest leadership conference of its kind in Canada this year, dedicated exclusively to the unique needs of school leaders. It will provide an array of informative, insightful and practical workshops such as transformational coaching, restorative practices, school improvement, school/community partnerships and e-learning.

The conference will also feature three keynote speakers:

    
    -  Mike "Pinball" Clemons, Vice-Chair of the Toronto Argonauts - Thursday
       November 12, 6:00 p.m.
    -  Neila Connors, an educator, consultant, professor and researcher -
       Friday November 13, 9:00 a.m.
    -  Dr. James Orbinski, a veteran of many of the world's humanitarian
       emergencies - Saturday November 14, 11:00 a.m.

    All guest speakers will be presenting in the Grand Ballroom, Lower
Concourse.

            Nova Scotia, Australia, Ghana, Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago
