TORONTO, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Following a set date hearing held on October 28, 2009, in Toronto, Ontario, a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada ("IIROC") ordered, among other procedural matters, the following in the matter of Paul Van Benthem and Anthony Petriccione (the "Respondents"):
(a) the hearing will commence on September 13, 2010; and
(b) Section 5 (c) of the Panel's decision of October 6, 2008 is rescinded
and accordingly, all references to the proceedings against these
Respondents and the allegations made therein originally removed from
the IIROC website as result of this order shall be again posted on
the IIROC website.
The proposed hearing concerns matters for which the Respondents may be disciplined as a Regulated Person of IIROC, pursuant to Part 10 of IIROC Dealer Member Rule 20.
IIROC formally initiated the investigation into the Respondents' conduct on May 26, 2005. The violations occurred when the Respondents were Registered Representatives with the Toronto Branch of Blackmont Capital Inc. The Respondents are no longer registrants with an IIROC-regulated firm.
