20 years, five playgrounds, one day

Aon celebrates 20th anniversary by building community playgrounds across

SHERBROOKE, QC, April 24 /CNW/ - Aon unveiled five playgrounds across the
country today as part of its global 20th anniversary. The playgrounds were
built in Halifax, Grande Prairie, Thunder Bay, Victoria and in Sherbrooke's
Parc de la Laurentie.
"Aon is proud to be part of the community of Sherbrooke, and we wanted to
make a lasting contribution that families can enjoy," said Johanne Lépine,
Senior Vice President and Québec Regional Director, Aon Reed Stenhouse. "Our
Sherbrooke office has a longstanding partnership and dedication to the
community. Sherbrooke isn't just where we work, it's also where we live, and
we felt that building these playgrounds was a wonderful way to say thank you
for being so great to us."
The playgrounds were part of global events as the company celebrated 20
years under the Aon banner. Aon offices across the country and around the
world held hundreds of special events and community outreach programs,
celebrating this milestone.
"These events reflect the passion for service that defines Aon's culture
of people helping people," said Chris Fawcus, President and CEO of Aon Reed
Stenhouse. "We felt that this anniversary gave us a perfect opportunity to
give back to Sherbrooke and share in its growth."
The playgrounds were funded by Aon and, in this case, also by the City of
Sherbrooke. They were built by PlayPower Inc. in cooperation with the local
municipalities. City officials, local families and businesses attended the
unveiling of the playground to celebrate the new addition to their community.
