10th Anniversary of the Ottawa Treaty banning landmines

    TORONTO, Nov. 25 /CNW/ - The Canadian Landmine Foundation (CLMF),
Canada's leading fundraising and awareness organisation for humanitarian mine
action, today announced that on Monday December 3rd beginning at 7:30 p.m.,
CLMF will host a program in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Ottawa
Treaty banning anti-personnel landmines. The event will be held at the Jane
Mallett Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, 27 Front Street East,
    The event will include music by Michael Kamino, film, a photography
exhibition entitled Living with Land Mines by V. Tony Hauser, a very special
young landmine survivor from Cambodia and appearances by Mats Sundin, Sheila
Finestone, Bob Rae and many others. The guest of honour will be former Foreign
Affairs Minister Lloyd Axworthy, the key architect of the Ottawa Treaty.
    There is no charge for this awareness event, however seating is limited.
