10 years of Hyperwave: 2006 was a milestone in the company's success story

BOSTON, March 29 /CNW/ - Hyperwave, a leading supplier of Collaborative
Information Management (CIM) solutions, has closed the books on its first
decade of business with an outstanding achievement: With the end of 2006
Hyperwave saw revenues increase 100% over 2005. At the same time, gross sales
receipts rose over 65% (according to US GAAP), and a positive operational
result was achieved.

In 2006 Hyperwave's earnings, now firmly in the ten's of millions euros,
were distributed over three core markets: DACH (45%), Great Britain (45%) and
the USA (10%). Hyperwave is active on a worldwide scale with offices in
Munich, London, Boston, and Graz, and currently serves roughly 300 customers
from a wide variety of sectors, including Audi, Fujitsu-Siemens and Toshiba.
The company has also established itself as a leading partner in the
international e-Government sector and counts among its clients the U.S.
Department of Defense and Health and Human Services and many European
government offices.

"The strong financial results in 2006 are a confirmation of our strategy
to promote advancements in the market for Collaborative Information Management
with continued innovation and technological development. With its integrated
approach, Hyperwave has been able to secure a strong position over the last
ten years not only in German-speaking Europe, but in English-speaking
countries as well," says Pieter Duijst, Hyperwave's CEO. "With the help of our
technological edge we will continue to systematically develop our
international market position in coming business quarters. Current
developments, such as the business world's steady adoption of Web 2.0
technologies, will provide additional impetus to Hyperwave's success."

    10 years of Hyperwave

Hyperwave has its roots in a research project begun at the Technical
University in Graz, Austria. The project led to the development of a unique
hypermedia system in 1989. With the integration of Internet standards a server
solution took shape in 1994 that already featured integrated search
mechanisms, sophisticated hyperlink management, access controls, dynamic HTML
generation, etc. - years later this type of server solution became to be known
as a Content Management System.

In light of the technology's commercial potential, Hyperwave was founded
in 1997. From the very beginning the management of business content was of
central focus, which led to the significant expansion of the solution's
feature set - the resulting technology, known as 'Knowledge Management', drew
considerable attention in subsequent years. In 2000 Hyperwave began to develop
its solution further into a complete application suite for Collaborative
Knowledge Management and integrated add-on products for eLearning, team
collaboration, workflow optimization and portal operation. The 'Smart
Enterprise Suite' propagated by the Gartner Corporation since 2003 mirrors
this approach - Hyperwave was again years ahead of the technological curve.

Today, as a business with university origins, Hyperwave is driven
foremost by innovation: technological trends are identified early by the
company and developed into market-ready products. This technological edge is
the reason for the numerous awards and commendations Hyperwave has received in
recent years.

The integration of eLearning and web conferencing solutions in the new
release of the Hyperwave Server Platform IS/6 has contributed significantly to
the fact that Hyperwave is now excellently positioned to take the lead in the
internationally growing market for Collaborative Information Management
