MONTREAL, June 30, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Several Montréal municipal
facilities will be open over the holiday, while others will be
operating on reduced schedules or closed.
Most municipal offices will be closed on Thursday, July 1, 2011,
including borough and Accès Montréal offices as well as local service
Pickup services: garbage, recyclables and bulky items
Collections will take place following regular schedules.
However, in the Saint-Laurent borough, the green waste collection will
be held on July 4 in areas north of boulevard Henri-Bourassa and east
of Autoroute 13 and the area between boulevard Marcel-Laurin and avenue
O'Brien north of boulevard Côte-Vertu.
Sports and cultural facilities
All libraries will be closed on Friday, July 1. Arenas, swimming pools,
sports and recreation centres as well as cultural centres schedules
will vary according to schedules set by the boroughs. Citizens are
asked to contact personnel at these facilities to check on days and
times of operation, or call 311.
The Claude-Robillard sports complex will be closed. Outdoor tennis

Espace pour la vie (Science facilities)
The Biodôme (4777, avenue Pierre-De Coubertin) will be open according to
regular schedule from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Insectarium will remain closed for major repairs. Insect care is
