TORONTO, Jan. 4 /CNW/ - The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG)
would like to advise there will be a delay in paying out the $50
million prize from the December 31, 2010 LOTTO MAX draw due to
additional claimants coming forward and claiming an interest in a
portion of the prize.
There has been plenty of media attention on the potential jackpot
winners from this draw, but a rigourous prize claim review process
needs to be completed before any prize is paid out. OLG's commitment is
to ensure all lottery players are protected and the right prize is paid
to the right person every time.
OLG can confirm, at this time, there is one ticket with the winning
numbers for the $50 million jackpot prize from the December 31, 2010
LOTTO MAX draw. That ticket was validated at a retail location in
Toronto on January 2, 2011 and a large group is making the claim on the
