TORONTO, June 1, 2011 /CNW/ - TVO's flagship current affairs program, The Agenda with Steve Paikin, will be at the Waterloo Global Science Initiative's inaugural Equinox Summit: Energy 2030 conference in Waterloo to broadcast five programs exploring energy
issues today and in the future.
Climate change. Peak oil. A rapidly growing population… How will our
world be affected by these challenges 20 years from now? How can we use
cutting-edge technologies to create a cleaner, more sustainable energy
The Equinox Summit: Energy 2030, to be held in Waterloo June 5 to 9,
will gather the world's foremost science experts and industry leaders
around these questions. As presenting media partner, TVO will be there
to engage Ontarians in this important global conversation.
From Monday June 6 to Friday June 10 at 8 pm, The Agenda with Steve Paikin will present a week of on-location broadcasts from the Mike Lazaridis
Theatre of Ideas at Canada's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical
Physics. Each program will feature energy experts who will discuss and
debate today's big energy questions.
