ROSEMÈRE, QC, Sept. 22, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - It is with mixed emotions
that Chairman Steve Bletas along with the Council of Commissioners of
the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (SWLSB) regretfully announce the
departure of the Director General, Anne-Marie Lepage. Mrs. Lepage began
her five years at SWLSB as the Assistant Director General and was
quickly promoted to the office of Director General. Mrs. Lepage has
been nominated by the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA)
to the position of Director of Labour Relations.
Mrs. Lepage's dedication, expertise and experience will certainly
continue to be a great asset in our education system. The Council of
Commissioners thank her for her remarkable leadership, commitment and
contribution to the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board and wishes her
much success in her new role which will begin in mid-November.
The Council of Commissioners will organize the replacement process and
will announce the Interim Director General at the Council of
Commissioners meeting on September 27th.
The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board offers educational services to more
than 15,000 students in 38 schools and 4 Adult Education and Vocational
Training centres and has a workforce of nearly 2000 employees.
