Sharp Magazine To Launch in Russia

First Move Into International Market

TORONTO, Jan. 20 /CNW/ - Sharp, Canada's premium men's lifestyle magazine, will launch its first international edition this spring. In collaboration with publishing house Smart Readers, Sharp Russia will debut with the March 2011 edition and make Sharp the only Canadian magazine licensed to serve an international market.

According to Dmitry Cherkasov, General director of Smart Readers, "Sharp's creativity, style and editorial philosophy have made it a favourite of Canadian men. Sharp's blend of premium environment, sophisticated content and international style will position it for success in Russia as well!"

"We saw that the segment of men's glossies in Russia was insufficiently served, and began looking for a leading magazine that could also address what Russian men want and need," adds Cherkasov.

Sharp Russia is Contempo Media's first step in into international markets.
