SECURETECH Showcase Brings Global Public Safety and National Security Community Together in Ottawa

"Shared Solution to our Common Threats"

OTTAWA, June 2, 2011 /CNW/ - The 2011 SecureTech Conference and Trade Show, Canada's new public safety and security showcase, is the latest initiative by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) to be held October 25th-27th, 2011 at the new Ottawa Convention Centre.

The 200-booth omnibus international conference and trade show will highlight three nations - Canada, the UK and the U.S., - challenged by common security and public safety concerns that require innovative and comprehensive solutions.

"No other conference in Canada is able to bring key stakeholders from industry, the public policy arena, and the end-user community together to address the full spectrum of security and safety concerns facing Canadians and our allies," said Tim Page, President of CADSI. "SecureTech 2011 provides a unique forum to present, explore and address the global challenges and local responses to current and emerging threats that are becoming increasingly familiar to many nations and organizations - all under one umbrella."

The trade show will run from October 26th to 27th and will attract companies from around the world with technologies, products and services related to cyber security, critical infrastructure, disaster management and emergency planning and, identity and access management, air transportation security and maritime security.

"SecureTech 2011will help to establish linkages between issues where organizational silos may be the norm, and set the stage for the sharing of solutions beyond boundaries," said Page.  "The concept of combining six themes brings to the fore their inter-relatedness and the prospect of finding 'Shared Solutions to our Common Threats'."
