communications professionals across Canada. The 2011 Canadian Public
Relations Conference will be held in Saint John, NB from June 5-7 at
the Hilton Saint John. The conference is expected to draw over 300
public relations professionals from across the country. This year's
theme is the "Power of Public Relations."
"The Power of PR theme perfectly captures the main elements of this
year's conference," said Susan Harris, Host Committee Chair. "We will
witness the power of people working together, the power of research and
strategic planning, and the power of technology and its tools on the PR
and communications industry."
The three-day conference will include guest speakers, workshops,
networking opportunities, CPRS' 2011 annual general meeting and its
annual Awards of Excellence gala and dinner. Keynote speakers are Dave
Carroll, internationally acclaimed internet sensation behind the song
"United Breaks Guitars" Mitch Joel, a marketing and personal branding
expert, considered to be the "Rock Star of Digital Marketing" Peggie
Pelosi, Founder and CEO of ORENDA Connections, a corporate social
responsibility (CSR) consultancy; and Sean Wise, author of "How to Be a

members of the New Brunswick CPRS local Society. While the primary
conference site is the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre, evening
events will be held at the Hathaway Pavilion at Rockwood Park and the
cruise terminal tent on the Long Wharf. The annual conference is held
in alternating cities across Canada and will be held in Victoria, B.C.
