Randstad Canada recognized as best place to work for the 5th consecutive year!

Randstad Canada continues to distinguish itself as a best place to work, even in the context of major organizational change

TORONTO, April 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Randstad Canada has something to celebrate. Today marks the fifth consecutive year Randstad has been recognized as a "Best Place to Work" in Canada by the Great Place to Work Institute. This year, the company has made an impressive leap from 45th place to 25th.

Randstad Canada, the country's leader in staffing, recruitment and HR Services, has secured this honour year after year - even while undergoing a major transition process. In 2008, Randstad Holding acquired Vedior as part of a global acquisition of staffing companies, making Randstad the second largest HR services provider in world. Merging company cultures can often weaken morale and productivity amongst leadership and staff, but Randstad Canada managed to maintain a cohesive culture by nurturing its talent  and promoting personal and professional growth.

"As a staffing and recruitment company, we know how important attracting and retaining the best talent can be to driving business success'', says Jan-Hein Bax, President of Randstad Canada. "Employee engagement is a key element for employers who wish to grow within today's increasingly competitive and ever-changing market. We have worked hard to make our company a great place to work. Our culture focuses on the development of our people and knowing that it's their passion and motivation that drives our success'',  he says.

Bax credits Randstad Canada's ability to rally everyone in the company around the corporate values as one of the key reasons behind the company's long standing success . "On a daily basis we work relentlessly to become industry experts and get to know our clients and candidates. We strive to provide the best service in our industry and always value our relationships, we continuously seek to improve and to innovate and we always see the bigger picture by taking our community and social responsibilities seriously'', he says.

"We believe that sharing and applying our core values in everything we do is the best way to nurture an enjoyable and collaborative workplace where people have opportunities to build their careers and significantly help shape the future world of work", adds Bax.

This year's list received over 230 nominations and approximately 44,000 employees participated in the 2011 "Best Workplaces in Canada" survey.
