MONTREAL, May 26, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - The 2011 edition of the Journées
dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ) will be held from May 27 to
31, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The JDIQ is celebrating 40
years of excellence this year. This annual continuing education event,
organized by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, brings together more
than 11,000 participants. It is Canada's largest dental convention, and
a popular yearly get-together for Quebec dentists and members of their

An extensive scientific program
The scientific program for the 2011 JDIQ includes more than 130 lectures
and workshops, featuring some 150 speakers from Canada, the United
States and Europe.
The exhibitors' booths are also worth a visit, with something for
everyone in dentistry. You won't want to miss the National Bank booth,

This year, the Order is holding a real first, giving dentists a chance
to show off their artistic talents at the Convention. More than 30
works of art, from paintings to sculptures, photos and jewellery,
created by 17 ODQ members will be exhibited in aisle 100 of the
exhibitors' room. A pass is required to view these pieces.
The Order's website gets a facelift
The Order is taking the opportunity of its annual Convention to launch
its all-new website, intended more than ever as THE reference when it
comes to oral health in Quebec.
With a cleaner, more refined graphic look, the new website will allow
visitors to find the information they are seeking, easily and quickly.
Some sections have also been combined to simplify navigation and make
the site more user friendly.
For the general public, the section on public protection is full of
useful information on preventive care, oral treatments offered by
dentists and the role of the Ordre des dentistes. You can visit the new
