Peak Energy Services Ltd. Announces the Voting Results of its Annual and Special Meeting


CALGARY, May 25, 2011 /CNW/ - Peak Energy Services Ltd. ("Peak") is pleased to announce that the previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement"), pursuant to which Clean Harbors, Inc. ("Clean Harbors") will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Peak ("Peak Shares") for cash consideration of $0.95 per share, was approved by the holders ("Peak Shareholders") of Peak Shares at the annual and special meeting (the "Meeting") of Peak Shareholders held on May 25, 2011.  Approximately, 61% of the issued and outstanding Peak Shares were voted at the Meeting, with approximately 99% of the votes cast by Peak Shareholders voting in favour of the Arrangement.

The proposed Arrangement is still subject to certain conditions including, without limitation, the final approval of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and appropriate regulatory and other authorities. The closing of the Arrangement is anticipated to be completed on June 10, 2011, but in any event no later than the outside date of June 30, 2011.
