NORTH BAY, ON, June 7, 2011 /CNW/ - Ontario Northland and the Canadian
Auto Workers Local 103 are pleased to announce the ratification of five
(5) new collective agreements. The union represents over 400 Ontario
Northland employees including clerical, on board service, shop craft,
hotel staff, as well as, stores and yard office staff, throughout
Ontario Northland's service territory. 73% of members voted in favour
of the new contracts.
"These new agreements demonstrate the high level of commitment of both
parties to work together through challenging times to sustain the

The contract, valid to December 31, 2013, provides a wage increase
across all CAW agreements of 0.5% in year three plus a 1.5% maximum for
cost of living allowance.
"We are pleased that all five agreements have been ratified," said Brian
Kelly, President of CAW Local 103. "The membership has shown strong
support for our union and bargaining committee."
"We are very happy to have reached an agreement with the employees
