Occupy Ottawa Unites with Families for Fiscal and Social Responsibility Against Omnibus Crime Bill C-10

OTTAWA, Nov. 24, 2011 /CNW/ - This Saturday, Occupy Ottawa will join with other organizations to protest the Conservative omnibus crime Bill C-10.

"The Conservative crime bill could drastically raise our taxes and punish marijuana users more harshly than pedophiles," said Laura Farberman, an Occupy Ottawa organizer.

"This is a wrong turn for our country. Quebec and Ontario have already refused to pay for this bad law."

Occupy Ottawa points out that crime rates in Canada have been falling steadily for over a decade.
