- GT-R Remains Best Luxury Sportscar for Three Consecutive Years -

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 17 /CNW/ - Today, Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) accepted two  2011 ALG Residual Value Awards for its 2011 Nissan Rogue and 2011 Nissan GT-R in the  Best Compact Utility and Best Luxury Sportscar categories. This is the third year ALG has presented awards in Canada and GT-R has led its class each year and Nissan Rogue was recognized for both the 2009 and 2011 model.

"The Rogue and GT-R are two very different vehicles which reflect the innovation and value that's offered across the Nissan line-up, from those looking for fun and functionality to brute power and performance," said Judy Wheeler, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada Inc. "The recognition from ALG is a great proof point to consumers on the long-term value provided by Nissan."

About the Nissan Rogue
The 2011 Nissan Rogue Crossover SUV is one of Nissan's best-selling models and comes with a standard 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine. It offers a long list of standard safety features including Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The 2011 model offers new exterior design features presenting the Rogue's modern sophistication that is both aggressive and sporty.

"The Rogue is one of the best values in this segment, offering much of the style and features of its bigger brother the Murano at a more affordable price," said Raj Sundaram, Senior Vice President, Solutions Group and ALG.  "It also benefits from Nissan's strong brand in Canada, helping it to land at the top of the compact utility category."

About the Nissan GT-R
As one of the fastest cars in the world, the GT-R has won over a dozen global awards and a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for fastest 0-100km acceleration four-seater production car. For 2011, the GT-R lived up to its "Godzilla" reputation and added more technology than ever, featuring a USB iPod interface, Bluetooth Streaming Audio and many other features. For 2012, GT-R has even more power under the hood while providing better fuel efficiency and will continue its reign as the multi-dimensional performance machine that embodies the concept of being the ultimate supercar that can be enjoyed by all.

"The GT-R delivers heart-pounding acceleration and superb handling at a price well below its rivals," said Raj Sundaram, Senior Vice President, Solutions Group and ALG. "Unbeaten value and strict control over supply have kept residuals high, helping it to nab the top luxury sportscar honor every year since 2009.
