New Appointments to Creststreet's Senior Leadership Team

TORONTO, Nov. 24, 2011 /CNW/ - Creststreet Asset Management Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Wood as President of Creststreet.  As President, Mr. Wood will be responsible for all aspects of fund distribution and administration of Creststreet's growing investment management business. Mr. Wood has 22 years experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Creststreet in 2010 as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Mr. Wood was one of the key employees that helped grow Northwest Mutual Funds from just over $200 Million in 2001 to almost $2 Billion by the end of 2007, prior to being merged into NEI Investments which had assets of $4.5 Billion at the time he left to join Creststreet.

Creststreet is also pleased to announce Sheryl Chiddenton will be appointed Chief Compliance Officer. Ms. Chiddenton is presently Vice President, Compliance and Investment Services and has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry, with 10 years compliance and fund administration experience at Creststreet.  In her capacity as Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Chiddenton will report directly to Stuart Hensman, Chairman of Creststreet's Independent Review Committee. Ms. Chiddenton's appointment is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

In conjunction with these appointments, Robert Toole, founder and CEO of Creststreet, will become Chairman and Chief Investment Officer. In his capacity as CIO, Mr. Toole will continue to oversee the investment management process across Creststreet's growing line of investment products, as well as becoming Lead Manager of the Creststreet Dividend & Income Fund. Paul MacDonald, who joined Creststreet in 2010, as Vice President and Lead Portfolio Manager of the Creststreet Resource Fund, will continue in that role.  Michael Clare will take over as Lead Portfolio Manager of the top performing Creststreet Energy Opportunities Fund; the Fund he has been involved with since 2008 and co-managing since 2010. Creststreet's flow-through investment team, along with its investment strategy diversified across the commodity spectrum, will remain unchanged.  William Shaw has resigned from Creststreet to pursue other opportunities. Creststreet would like to wish Mr. Shaw success in his future endevours.

Commenting on the appointments, Robert Toole, Chairman and CIO said "Over the past several years Creststreet has been adding to the depth of its senior management team. Since joining Creststreet, Kevin Wood has demonstrated his proven capability to grow assets, even in particularly difficult market circumstances. In addition, since joining Creststreet over 10 years ago, Sheryl Chiddenton has demonstrated an ability to steadily expand her knowledge and expertise in an increasingly complex regulatory and compliance environment.  Finally, Michael Clare has been co-manager with me of Creststreet Energy Opportunities Fund on a day-to-day basis for the past two years and the strong performance, to which I give Mike most of the credit, speaks for itself.  With these appointments, Creststreet has significantly strengthened its leadership team, allowing me to increasingly focus my efforts on overseeing the overall investment management process at Creststreet going forward."
