MINUTES OF PRAYER - Fundraising campaign reaches $ 100,000

SAGUENAY, QC, Feb. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - The Mayor, Jean Tremblay, is pleased to see the donations for the fundraising campaign in respect to the prayer, continue to enter City Hall without interruption, since he gave his press conference.

This morning, the total sum had reached the figure of $ 100,000. This cause is likely to reach the Supreme Court and these funds will pay for legal fees, but it mostly reflects Quebecers' attachment to their identity, their traditions and culture.

The Mayor Jean Tremblay wishes to thank everyone who sent their donations and wishes to remind others that it is still possible to do so by consulting the information on the website of the City of Saguenay at www.ville.saguenay.qc.ca address or by check, payable to the "City of Saguenay, at City Hall (201 East Racine Street, PO Box 129, Chicoutimi, QC G7H 5B8).

In conclusion, the mayor reminds us that this is a signal to the effect that reasonable accommodation is a principle that should apply not only to foreigners newly settled in Canada, but also and especially to Catholics here since the founding of our country.
