TORONTO, Nov. 23, 2011 /CNW/ - Middlefield Group is pleased to announce
the closing of its 48th resource fund, Discovery 2011 Flow-Through Limited Partnership
("Discovery"), which raised the maximum offering of $50 million. This
brings the total amount raised by Middlefield flow-through limited
partnerships to $110 million in 2011.
The objectives of the Partnership are to provide investors with capital
appreciation and significant tax benefits to enhance after-tax returns,
including the deductibility of 100% of their original investment. The
Partnership intends to achieve these objectives by investing in an
actively managed, diversified portfolio of equity securities of
Canadian exploration, development and production companies involved
primarily in mining and supplemented by companies operating in the oil
and gas and renewable energy sectors.
The syndicate of agents for the offering is being co-led by RBC Capital
