("Liquid Nutrition" or "Company") (TSX: LQD.V and LQD.WT) announces its expansion plans are underway, targeting the 35 planned markets across North America.  Today, the Company confirms the first set of franchise locations available in Toronto, Canada have sold out. The opening of the first location in downtown Toronto is slated for this fall, with a roll out of nine other stores to follow in succession across Metropolitan Toronto.

Liquid Nutrition: The first 90 days

Market Development:

In response to consumer and market demands, Liquid Nutrition has added several new locations to its North American expansion: Ottawa (ON), Oakville (ON), Atlantic Canada, Greater Montreal (PQ) and Las Vegas (NV). Plans for additional Liquid Nutrition locations also include: Los Angeles, Vancouver, Calgary, New York, Miami, Phoenix and Atlanta.

Globally, the company has attracted the attention of international markets: India, Colombia, Cayman Islands, the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA). International interest in Liquid Nutrition is encouraging, as healthy alternatives to quick-serve dining is becoming more and more prevalent in emerging markets abroad.

Team Liquid Solidifies:

Comprised of pro-athletes and experts in the world of fitness and nutrition, the following members of Team Liquid were selected based on their personal and professional beliefs in healthy, active living: Two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, MLB All-Star Russell Martin, NFL Quarterback Matt Ryan, LPGA Champion (#2 ranked female golfer in the world) Suzann Pettersen, Olympic Gold Medalist & World Snowboarding Champion Torah Bright, training and conditioning coach Chris Carmichael and certified sports nutritionist Elaine Hastings.  Each member of Team Liquid is an equity partner in the Company and is committed to the organization's success.  Additional members to Team Liquid will be announced in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year, the Company initiated the first phase of its strategic growth plan with the opening of an international sales office located in Oakville, ON.  As part of its staffing needs and to support a leadership position in the functional beverage category, the company expanded its in-house management team with the addition of a Merchandise & Product Development Manager and a Business Development Manager.

Nutrition & Innovations:

New product development is a particular area of focus for Liquid Nutrition; the Company is investing significant resources to include innovative and nutritious products as part of its growth plan.  Liquid Nutrition advisor Elaine Hastings has been working with the product development team to ensure proper nutritional value for each innovation.

This month, the company launched its new line of Liquid Nutrition specialty waters:  Hydrate and Hydrate Plus (a choice of spring and electrolyte-infused waters).  Hydrate Plus helps replenish and maintain electrolytes, without any added sugars, sweeteners or colouring.

Coming soon is a new multi-vitamin.  Vitalize contains an antioxidant blend and a combination of vitamins from 17 foods to improve daily nutrient intake.  Also a new whey protein powder, Force, will be available soon in chocolate and vanilla flavours.

Marketing the Brand

A sophisticated franchise marketing and advertising plan will soon launch across Canada and the United States.  Market-specific ads, franchise memberships, grass-roots activities, public relations efforts, celebrity appearances and investor road shows are also planned to increase awareness of the Liquid Nutrition brand and investment opportunities.
