LONGUEUIL, QC, May 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wish to announce the paving and striping
of the south approaches of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge on the Longueuil
side, from Friday May 6 at 11 PM to Sunday May 8 at 2 PM.
This work will require the complete closure of the Jacques-Cartier
Bridge accesses towards Montreal via Saint-Laurent St., Sainte-Hélène St. and Taschereau Blvd. East. All motorists wishing to take the Jacques-Cartier Bridge towards
Montreal will be invited to use the only access to the bridge still
open: Taschereau Blvd. West.
Since traffic will be more difficult when accessing the bridge towards
Montreal, motorists will be invited to use the Champlain Bridge, the
Victoria Bridge or the bridge-tunnel Hippolyte-Lafontaine during this
period. All bridge accesses will be open to traffic once again on
Sunday May 8 as of 2 PM for motorists returning to the city in the late
