Invesco Trimark creates new investment leadership roles

Select portfolio management responsibilities also enhanced

TORONTO, April 8 /CNW/ - Invesco Trimark is extremely pleased to announce new leadership positions on the Trimark Investments team, effective immediately. The Trimark team has been a leader in the Canadian investment management industry over the past 30 years, with broad capabilities that have produced solid long-term investment returns. A key to the team's success has been in developing and preserving a strong investment culture.

The new leadership appointments for some of our senior portfolio managers, along with some changes to portfolio management teams, will further strengthen the unique investment culture at Trimark.

"These seasoned investment professionals have been outstanding leaders on their respective teams," said Graham Anderson, Invesco Trimark's Chief Investment Officer. "Their new positions serve to clearly define their roles and duly recognize their demonstrated leadership capabilities."

Rex Chong becomes Head of Fixed-Income Investments. Under his leadership, our fixed-income portfolio managers have delivered reliable and steady performance for over a decade. The team is widely recognized for their depth of expertise in credit analysis and as a leading fixed-income team in North America.

Rob Mikalachki has been appointed Head of Small-Cap Equities. He has been a key contributor to our small-cap team for more than 10 years, mentoring and developing members of the entire small-cap team since 2003.

The most tenured portfolio manager on the Trimark team, he has been lead portfolio manager on the flagship Trimark Canadian Fund since 1999. His team leadership will include coordinating research efforts on Canadian equities and oversight of all Canadian equity analysts and portfolio managers.

Trimark Select Growth Fund
After considerable planning, Invesco Trimark has decided to diversify and enhance its global equity product line. This will be accomplished by changing the mandate of Trimark Select Growth Fund.1 In making this enhancement, we are pleased to announce changes to the portfolio management team responsible for managing Trimark Select Growth Fund. The new mandate will also be differentiated from Trimark Fund, providing investors with a broader set of global equity investment solutions. As the investment strategies of Trimark Select Growth Fund are changing, Invesco Trimark will be filing a prospectus amendment. In light of the exciting changes, we're pleased to introduce a new name for Trimark Select Growth Fund. Going forward, the Fund will be named Trimark Global Fundamental Equity Fund.

Effective immediately, this Fund will be managed by a team comprised of Michael Hatcher (lead), Darren McKiernan, Jeff Feng and Dana Love. Nearly two years ago, Mr. Hatcher, Mr. McKiernan and Mr. Feng joined Invesco Trimark to take on lead management roles for Trimark Global Dividend Class (Mr. McKiernan), Trimark Europlus Fund (Mr. Hatcher) and Trimark International Companies Fund (Mr. Feng).
